ife is a mind game. I keep playing by the wrong rules. Time to change them.
I've been given some thought to mental toughness. Being strong. Recognizing that life is really just a mind game. We must manage our mind, recognize what's happening around us, and be really clear on what matters.
Stress is just my perception of my ability to handle the situation. When we are stressed, that's when the worst of us comes out. We are less patient and our judgment wavers. If we want to be really incredible, if we want to be exceptional, both in what we do and who we are, we have to manage our minds. We have to manage stress. That starts by looking inside and finding a calm that allows us to find clarity. Clarity on what's really happening and what we must do.
If we can be clear, then maybe we can find peace, find the peace that we are enough. Find peace in that what we do is enough. Find peace that we are going to take the right path. There will be bumps and we must have empathy. Empathy with ourselves and empathy with others. We must have the humility to learn from those bumps, learn from others, and wake up in the morning and try and do the next right thing. The next best thing.
Ultimately we must try and be really clear on what's happening, not necessarily what we think is happening.
Just thinking. Take care out there. - Kelly
A Thought
Only when the water is calm can we see the bottom
A Bonus
My life has been spent doing hard things with incredible people. Along that journey I've come to realize that trust sits in the middle of creating the very best teams. Especially the most enjoyable teams. Part of that has been this concept of being a team with "No Space Between." We are all a team. Our family, our friends, our communities, our planet. Maybe these 10 philosophies could help us be Better Today Than Yesterday.
A moment
With summer coming in the northern hemisphere, I'm remembering this time. Joy is not hard to find if we make the space, and time, for it. I am going to make time for water balloon fights this summer.
